The Hollywood Bowl celebrates one of the longest-running shows in Broadway history — Annie! This classic story of a young girl overcoming adversity features a beloved score of hits (including "Tomorrow" and "It's the Hard Knock Life") and is a delightful experience for the entire family!
Adapted from Daniel Wallace's novel and Tim Burton's acclaimed film, and featuring spine-tinglingly beautiful music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa (The Addams Family and The Wild Party), Big Fish is a fantastical musical that illustrates the larger-than-life anecdotes of Edward Bloom, a man nearing the end of his life. This fact has compelled his grown son Will to embark on an adventure of his own — to unravel his real dad from the myths of his tall tales. Filled with magic, love, luck, and crazy coincidences, this rollicking fantasy set in the American South is a tribute to the power of dreaming big.
Recommended for all ages.
It's the all-time-favorite, internationally acclaimed Rudie-DeCarlo fairy tale, offering romantics from all walks of life the chance to try on the glass slipper and help Cinderella find her happily-ever-after. Cinderella has all the makings of a perfect fairy tale for today's generation: a handsome prince (who yearns to be loved for himself, not his royal position), vain stepsisters (who ultimately realize looks really aren't everything), a controlling (but genuinely well-meaning) stepmother, and a refreshingly independent feisty Cinderella.
Take a famous tale by Hans Christian Andersen, add history and humor, and you have a story that still resonates today. This adaptation is set in 18th-century China, where two young princes must compete to be the next emperor. It will take nothing less than bravery, empathy, and a magical bird to teach them the meaning of leadership. MainStreet Theatre Company is thrilled to be producing the West Coast premiere! (For ages 6 & up)
Fancy Nancy and her friends Bree, Rhonda, Wanda, and Lionel are going to be performing in their very first show, Deep Sea Dances. Nancy is positive, that's fancy for 100 percent sure, that she and Bree will be picked to be mermaids. When another girl wins the coveted role of the mermaid, Nancy is stuck playing a dreary, dull tree. Can Nancy bring fancy flair to her role, even though it isn't the one she wanted?
Jane Austen's enduring love story is brought to life as a romantic-comedy musical. The story revolves around Emma, a well-meaning but disaster-prone matchmaker who ignores her own romantic feelings while setting out to find a suitor for her friend Harriet. Her efforts go awry, of course, leading to comic complications. We invite you to fall in love again with one of Jane Austen's most adored characters, featuring an intelligent and buoyant score from Tony-nominated composer Paul Gordon (Jane Eyre).
Recommendation: Wonderful for the entire family!

Ryan McCartan (Fox's The Rocky Horror Picture Show) heads the cast of a fun and furry musical tale for animal lovers of all ages. Featuring 20 original songs and a cast of 10, Mutt House is the story of quirky outsider Eddie Corbin. Bullied all his life, Eddie has finally found a place to call home — a neglected downtown animal shelter. When the city threatens to close the shelter, Eddie must do something he's never done before: stand up for himself and fight for what's right. With the help of six zany mutts, he faces his fears and makes an unexpected human connection in the process. This life-affirming musical in the tradition of Annie is filled with singing and dancing.
Fun (and appropriate) for everyone from 2 to 200 years old, The Really Awesome Improv Show features improv games that rely on audience suggestions and participation. Because there's a rotating cast, audiences see different performers and games each week.

Our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, and Jojo, a little boy with a big imagination, have been lovingly brought to life in this Tony Award-winning musical! Seussical follows the adventures of Horton the elephant, who discovers the tiny town of Whoville and its citizens on a speck of dust. Not only must Horton protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping, and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, and family are challenged, but the most miraculous "think" saves them all. This celebration of the magical world of Dr. Seuss is pure delight for the whole family!
