The Kitchen Concerts: Emily Skeggs and The Shakespearean Jazz Show

Fun Home Tony nominee Skeggs and her band set Shakespeare's sonnets to music.

When she's not delivering her Tony-nominated performance as Medium Alison in Fun Home, Emily Skeggs could likely be found jamming with her band, The Shakespearean Jazz Show. Founded in Boston by Skeggs and her bandmates when they were students at Emerson College and Berklee College of Music, The Shakespearean Jazz Show takes some of the Bard's finest sonnets and sets them to an enchanting musical accompaniment. Here they are with Sonnet 126, which they have fittingly retitled "Lovely Boy."
