The Kitchen Concerts: Freestyle Love Supreme

Christopher "C-Jack" Jackson, Andrew "Jelly Donut" Bancroft, Chris "Shockwave" Sullivan, and "Arthur the Geniuses" Lewis lay down some fly beats about the lovely spring weather in NYC.

Freestyle Love Supreme is a performance group that takes its audience on a "hip-hop improv ride, spinning cues from the audience into instantaneous riffs and fully realized musical numbers." It just so happens, they were founded by Tony Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda (In The Heights) and Anthony Veneziale. The rotating group features Broadway favorites such as Christopher "C-Jack" Jackson (Holler if Ya Hear Me) and James Monroe Iglehart (Aladdin). TheaterMania recently invited a few of the guys to our kitchen to "improvisate" a little ditty about the ups (short shorts) and downs (garbage smell) of warm weather in NYC.

Check out their upcoming series of TV specials on Pivot.
