Theater Gone Wrong: A Non-Flying Spider-Man Disaster From Rebecca Faulkenberry

Where there's smoke…there's an onstage fire.

The Broadway production of Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark was beset by disasters. Actors got injured, stunts went haywire, production staffers got fired. Anything that could go wrong did. Comparatively, the memory of an onstage disaster shared by Groundhog Day star Rebecca Faulkenberry, who played Mary Jane in Spider-Man, is not nearly as intense as someone falling from the sky. But it did involve fire, and having to put it out very quickly. Thank heavens for the stagehands.
