Theater Gone Wrong: Brandon Uranowitz Goes Blank In Paris

The American in Paris Tony nominee recalls the time he just couldn't remember the plot.

In An American in Paris, Brandon Uranowitz played a frustrated, lovelorn pianist. One of the tasks of his character was to narrate the show, describing the plot to the audience. But one night, he just couldn't remember it: Uranowitz completely forgot his lines (and therefore, the plot of the show). It was so worrisome that the creative team almost called an ambulance. And he almost played right into it.
